Artists have recreated the characters and scenery around Franklin County for the “Napoleon Dynamite” television series.
In Los Angeles, Calif., they are holding a Napoleon Day and sound-a-like contest on Jan. 5, 2012. That’s 10 days before the animated series begins on FOX.
Somehow organizers either recreated or purchased Uncle Rico’s van for the entire cast to ride in to enter the big event. They have arranged some activities to go along with the opening of the animated series. The activities are for everyone to participate, including free quesadillas and tater tots! (See the full story on The Preston Citizen.)

I’m the current owner of the van and can confirm it’s the original screen used van that we’ve shipped to LA for the launch event. Thank you for the article!
