The Preston Citizen is seeking nominations for its first-annual Wayne D. Bell/J. Walter Ross Citizen of the Year Award. The award will be presented in February. The person selected will be announced in the annual Progress Edition.
The award will be presented to a resident of any community in Franklin County for outstanding service over a substantial period of time.
It is named after former owners/publishers of The Preston Citizen, Wayne D. Bell and J. Walter Ross. Nominations for the award must be turned in to The Preston Citizen office by Jan. 15.
Detailed information about the community service rendered by the nominee will aid in judging. Remember, the only way an individual can be nominated is by a member of the community.
