Preston City, Franklin County, state, and federal offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 2, in celebration of the New Year’s holiday which falls on Sunday, Jan. 1, this year.
The post office lobby will be open from 12:30-2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31. Postmaster Val Porter said full delivery will be made that day. The post office will be closed on Monday, Jan. 2, and reopen on a regular schedule on Jan. 3. (See the full story in The Preston Citizen.)
