Jean Gould helps fill the Elk’s Christmas food boxes recently.
With the help of many within the community, Elks Lodge members were wrapping up their annual Christmas Basket drive last Wednesday. Over 750 families received boxes filled with butter, sugar, flour, soups, turkeys and other food items and toiletries just in time for the Christmas holidays. The boxes were delivered this past Saturday from as far north as Soda Springs, Chesterfield and Bancroft and south to Lewiston and Richmond. (See the full story in The Preston Citizen.)
