The Preston Indian wrestling squad went head-to-head with district competition and other Idaho teams last week, and gave a solid showing for their efforts.
On Wednesday evening, Dec. 14, Preston hosted both 5-A Highland, and district opponent Century, in a three-way meet at home. Wrestling Highland first, Preston grapplers served notice that they were ready to challenge what previously had been a dominating program.
In the second bout of the night, Cade Nicholls electrified the home crowd by battling to a win in the 152-pound class. The final team score of Preston’s 38 points to Highland’s 46 included two forfeits by Preston. (See the full story in The Preston Citizen.)
