After a poor showing in Burley on Dec. 13, where they lost 46-14, the Preston girls jumped out to an early lead against Marsh Valley and maintained it much of the game, winning 36- 31 on Thursday.
With two minutes left in the first quarter Preston had limited Marsh Valley to just two points while scoring 11 and ended the quarter up 16-4.
The second was a little scary as the Indians were unable to score and Marsh Valley began to close the gap. The Indians held on to a three-point lead at the half (16-13). (See the full story in The Preston Citizen.)
