For Glen Egbert of Fairview, the Christmas holiday is as much about small toy trains and ceramic villages, as hanging tree ornaments and lights are to others. Every year after Thanksgiving, many in Franklin County are cutting down trees and hauling them home to decorate with ornaments, lights and tinsel. During that same time, Egbert is fast at work, clearing the furniture in his front room then hauling up boxes from the basement.
He unloads boxes and more boxes and even more boxes; there must be over 60 of them. (See the full story in The Preston Citizen.)
