The West Side Wrestlers traveled to their first two meets of the season last week. One at Malad, and the other at Marsh Valley.
This year the Pirates have a small team, with not as much experience as they would like to have. Only a small handful of the already small team is wrestling varsity due to inexperience.
One of those on varsity, junior McCoy Roberts, said, “We have a lot of new kids this year, and if they can get the hang of it we will do pretty good.”
Roberts and Thomas Colqui have been two big contributors to the team. They will be traveling to Malad again this weekend to compete in a two-day tournament.
