Elder Marcus Nash puts his arm around Jay McKenzie with Sherman Fleek on the right, during a presentation ceremony in November.
Last month on Nov. 10, Preston attorney Jay McKenzie and his wife, Debbie, drove from Preston to the new Church History Library in Salt Lake City to present a Medal of Honor and portrait of Leonard C. Brostrom to the Church History Museum.
McKenzie represented Brostrom’s only living heir, Teddi Brostrom Olsen.
“It is so fitting that the Medal of Honor, awarded posthumously to the family of Leonard C. Brostrom, be permanently housed along with all of these other historical materials; he being the only returned missionary to have ever received the Medal of Honor,” McKenzie said.
