Even though much of the white stuff in the valley has melted, a record snowfall for the month of November was recorded and it’s 458 percent of long-term averages.
The normal amount of measurable snow is 3.4 inches and King Smith, who records weather data for the National Weather Service, recorded 15.6 inches. This is the most the area has received in any November. The previous record was 15.4 inches in 2001. (See the full story in The Preston Citizen.)
