“Santa Claus is coming to town.” The Jolly Old Elf, dressed in red, will be in Preston, during the Festival of Lights, on Saturday from 2:15 p.m. until 3 p.m. or after the bed race and before the free kids movie.

His house has been set up in the old O.P. Skaggs lot between Owl Billiards and the Idaho Vocational Rehabilitation office on the west side of State Street between Oneida and 100 South.

Santa will take orders for Christmas and have children sit on his knee before sending them away with a candy cane and a coloring book. The books will be provided by the Larsen-Sant Library.

“We have been doing this for three or four years, when we can get the coloring books,” said Library Director Cloteele Dahle.

“Santa will be in the house as long as there are children who would like to see him,” said Tiffany Jeppsen, the Santa Claus Coordinator.
