A box with hundreds of photographs from the old Anderson Photo Studio is available at True Value Mart for the taking. Anderson Photo Studio was active from 1938 until 1974. It was located on top of the M.H. Kings building. The portraits are in a box at the front of the store. The photos were found when family members were cleaning out the Anderson family residence on North State recently.
The Hometown Sketch Book, by Newell Hart, said Kings eliminated the top floor in 1974 and extended the store space to the west. They also put in the glass front and a rear entrance.
Contact Roger Woolley or Toni Cazier at 852-2627 to view the photos or for more information.
