Preston’s Regan Hyde, a senior guard, drives for the basket during the opener for the Indians. The ladies dropped the game by 3 points.
The Lady Indians were defeated 50-47 by Soda Springs in their first basketball game of the season on Friday, Nov. 11, but they didn’t go down without a fight.
“Our greatest strength was our rebounding,” said Coach Ryon Pope. “We out rebounded them 48-26. Shania Carlisle and Kati Talbot had 23 rebounds between them. Morgan and Regan did a nice job of putting points on the board. We broke their press well most of the time. We just need to do a better job of transitioning that into a half-court offense. We took too many quick shots without rebounders in positions.” (See the full story in The Preston Citizen)
