From their newly remodeled offices in the old math building at Preston High School, the Preston School District (PSD) trustees authorized a $.25 raise for the district’s classified employees in the most recent school board meeting.
“We have classified employees who have not had a raise in two years. The wages range from Idaho minimum wage of $7.25 to $11 an hour and the district has not been able to give them a pay raise,” said Brian Mendenhall, the district controller who manages the district’s finances.
The increase does not apply to any salary workers.
Mendenhall presented the most recent audit to the board and reported the district was solvent.
