POCATELLO – District champs — again! In a bid to extend their district championship run, both boys and girls teams got it done last week.
Coach Tyler Jones said, “This is the all-around best performance for the girls team this season. Our top five scorers placed in the top eight places in the race. This is the sixth straight district championship for the girls. The boys race outcome was determined by two points.”
Jones said, “Pocatello has been our biggest rival all season. Kyle Dunn passed a Century runner at the finish line, and Ephraim Sharp held off a Pocatello runner at the end of the race to lock up the win.”
This is the boys second straight district win. The teams go to state in Boise on Saturday.
