Absentee balloting is now going on at the Franklin County Clerk’s office for this year’s municipal elections and Fairview Water District bond election.
Franklin County election’s clerk Camille Larsen said absentee voting will continue Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. through Nov. 4.
There will be no election for Franklin County Fire District Fire commissioner this year because no one filed to run against incumbent Kim Crockett. He filed for re-election and represents District 2. Crockett
will be declared the winner.
No one filed as a write-in candidate for races in Preston, Franklin, Dayton and Clifton. The deadline was Oct. 11. The only race in any of the municipalities is in Clifton, where three people are running for two
council positions.
Even though there is no opposition, elections will still be held in all of the communities on Nov. 8, according to Idaho law.
