In a four-way match with district rival Century and two 5-A schools in Pocatello on Friday, the Preston cross country boys squad swept the competition with 22 points. The girls finished second with 48 points to Idaho Falls.

Some good things about being here are that we get to see the district course, said Coach Tyler Jones. It’s kind of nice, with fewer runners, to run at the front of the pack and get some confidence. Our times improved a lot, too. This is a faster course. These were our best times so far this season.

“This week we head to Boise, and that’s always fun. I think this year there are teams from 10 different states running in this meet.”
