Preston sophomore Ryan Wakley almost intercepts a Marsh Valley pass during Friday night’s game against the Eagles. Preston won 36-16.
The Indians sealed the deal in the third quarter against Marsh Valley after struggling early-on Friday night against the Eagles in the home opener for the Tribe. Preston won 35-16.
“It was a great team win tonight! I was very proud of our guys for competing all four quarters. It was nice to see this group pull away from Marsh Valley late in the third quarter. I thought the Eagles did a good job early on and were giving us everything they had, said head coach Shawn Marlow.
“But as the game went on, I thought our guys got more familiar and comfortable with their double-wing offense and we were able to slow them. (See the full story in The Preston Citizen.)
