The Preston girls’ cross country team will be adjusting to the loss of three of their top five runners this season.
They are young, with just one senior on the team, Brooke Corbett, who has not run cross-country before.
Juniors Aunika Crowther and Becca Visser have some big shoes to fill with state champion Caitlin Elgan’s graduation.
They are expected to lead the team well, based on their accomplishments last season.
Junior Jacee Hammonds and sophomore Billie Hatch join them as a strong nucleus to start the season.
Other runners expected to shine for the girls are junior Cheyenne Rasmussen and freshmen Ali Shumway and Akaela Crowther.
