The Preston boys opened its 2014 soccer season on the road against Madison on Friday, Aug. 22 and the resulting 4-1 loss was disappointing, but not really a concern.

As the team gains experience playing together and athletes are cleared to play, coach Robert Bowles fully expects them to come together and play some great soccer.

“There were promising things to see and good points to take and learn from,” he said. “We were a little dinged up going into the game, but I felt we got excellent help from all of our substitutes and stand-ins.”

The Indians traveled to Minico on Tuesday, Aug. 26, and will be in Burley on Thursday, Aug. 28. Varsity games start at 4:30 p.m. with JV following.

Saturday, Aug. 30, the Indians will travel to Marsh Valley and play at 1 p.m. On Tuesday, Sept. 2, the team will also be on the road at Canyon Ridge at 4:30 p.m.
