New management at Maple Grove Hot Springs

Dr. Tracy Gibbs has taken over management of Maple Grove Hot Springs near Thatcher along the Bear River from Barbara Timmons, formerly Thatcher.

The resort has two full-time and one part-time employee working at the resort. The sale of the property is expected to go through in a couple of months.

Dustin Darger from Salt Lake City is currently managing the property at the upper end of the Bear River Narrows.

Maple Grove has a cabin, yurts and additional RV sites, an upgraded irrigation system and four soaking pools.

Gibbs is an international businessman and herbal health professional.

A representative of Gibbs approached Timmons in March of 2012 about his interest in purchasing the business. They started the negotiation process shortly after that.

Timmons moved to the area and acquired the hot springs in 1999 and after refurbishing the property and the four hot springs pools, reopened it to the public in 2003.
