JOHNSON RESERVOIR – Dozens of anglers took advantage of sunny skies and pleasant temperatures on Saturday at Johnson Reservoir east of Preston and dunked a worm.
An Idaho Department of Fish and Game Take Me Fishing Trailer and personnel visited the area from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m.
“We supplied the bait and equipment on a first-come, first-served basis. And those who registered at the trailer did not need a fishing license to fish,” said Bryan Glass, a fishing trailer technician in Pocatello. Glass and David Losinski were at the reservoir helping novice anglers and children.
Anglers, including several children, were mostly catching bluegill, although some anglers in boats were having some success fishing for bass and trout.
