Nineteen individuals will compete at the state track meet on Friday and Saturday, May 16-17, in Boise.

“We feel pretty good about it,” said coach Brandon Lyon. “Rigby is perennially one of the top teams, if not the top team, in the state, boys and girls.

“And to have the boys come as close as they did to Rigby, that was pretty exciting to see.”

The top four finishers (top two in relays) in each event qualified for the state tournament. Preston finished in the top four in 19 events, despite being one of the smaller 4A teams and less than ideal weather conditions.
