Dance Dynamics and Flip Flop Shop is moving to the True Value Mart building, at 44 South State, and transforming the old hardware store into a full-service dance studio and tumbling gym, said owner Kimberly Hobbs.
She will be remodeling the building and adding a parent’s viewing room, snack room, tumbling pit, gym-sized practice room and dressing rooms.
She hopes to have classes scheduled for this summer in her new facility. She plans to have full bars and beam, tumbling with combo classes, preschool competition classes, competitive tumbling levels 1-10 and boys tumbling.
Hobbs said she will also open the studio for birthdays and date nights.
Three of the tumbling students coached by Julie Pearce won first place in an Idaho State tumbling competition. They were: Hayden Egley, Olivia Mickelson and Dru Despain. Despain also had the highest score in an Idaho State competition. Aspen Sears placed third.
Hobbs has 20 years of tap, ballet, jazz, cheer and gymnastic training from Debbie Reynolds Studios, Robertson and Lyman studios and Utah State University.
