The Indian softball team hosted Bonneville in a double header on Friday and ended up splitting the twin bill, winning the first 3-1 and losing the second 1-0.
They will travel to Century for another double header this Thursday at 4 p.m.
The games went fast as defense and good pitching made many innings short. Shania Carlisle knocked in a two-RBI single in the bottom of the seventh.
In the second game, Bonneville scored one early and that was all it took.
“We weren’t getting enough hits. We hit the ball well, but they went to a person,” said coach Ashlee Larsen. “The defense was really good on both sides. We let one get on base and committed an error. We have to get hits earlier, not just the seventh inning.”
