The Greater Preston Business Association is concerned about the economic viability of Preston and the surrounding area and approached the Preston City Council recently about helping defray costs of hosting The Idaho Community Review.
The Review sends a team of 12-15 development professionals to different communities throughout the state. The team tours the community and focuses on areas identified by community leaders such as local economic development, infrastructure, housing, community design and identity, among others.
Mike Field, a team member of Idaho Rural Partnership, which oversees the Review, approached the GPBA a number of weeks ago and presented the idea of the Review in the Preston area, Bailey Beckstead, a GBPA member, told the city council.
