The Indians track team did very well in their first meet of the season, taking first place in both the girls and boys team scores at Highland on Thursday.

The girls made a strong statement with a score of 91, easily besting Highland’s 75 and Idaho Falls at 66. With 88 points the boys just edged out Highland at 86 and Idaho Falls came in third with 75.

“Overall we are very pleased with what we saw in our opening meet,” said coach Brandon Lyon. “We saw some really positive things from both the boys and girls. To win the team scores on both sides was encouraging to see.”

The Indians travel to Pocatello on Thursday, to compete against Pocatello, Century and Blackfoot.
