This was exactly the way Preston head wrestling coach Dustin Olsen had hoped his two juniors would bounce back after losing close semifinal matches on Friday.
Preston’s Kieton Keller and Tayson Reid went a combined 4-0 and beat well-respected grapplers in their respective third-place matches on the second and final day of the Idaho 4A State Championships on Saturday at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa.
“It was awesome,” Olsen said. “I’m tickled pink, obviously, and I felt Kieton Keller really wrestled the way he can.
“I told my coaches that he could be the boogeyman at 113 and really scare some people, and today he wrestled that way.”
