Road map in place, the city wants to reach goals

Franklin City passed their comprehensive plan recently.
“Every city is required have the city to building and zoning and land use a picture of what the town should look like in the future,” Franklin City Clerk, Lael Parkinson said. “Our citizens filled out surveys then we prioritize what the surveys said. This will give us a road map to where we are today and where we want to be.”
The City held a public hearing and no one said a word in opposition.
No even had a comment.
Franklin City officials have been working on the plan for 8 years.
They have been working in it for 8 years.
“It helps to have it in place for grants.” Parkinson said. Generally every city in the State of Idaho is required to have one.”
Franklin Mayor Todd Hawkes said they have tried to involve the public every step of the way. He said it was good t have it behind them.
