Preston wrestlers experienced one of their finest weeks of the season.

They hosted Blackfoot High School on Jan. 29, and electrified the gym with their efforts.

Kieton Keller, Mike Crane and Tayson Reid won their matches decisively. Justin Longhurst, Austyn Harris and Tyce Anderson each pinned their opponents.

Fans were on their feet and coach Dustin Olsen reflected the same enthusiastic attitude saying it was, “an awesome night for me as the coach to be able to see some great battles.

“It was a very fun and exciting night to be a part of.

“As a team, I felt like our wrestlers battled. In every match, we wrestled and fought for all six minutes.

“I could say every kid wrestled a great match. I am very pleased with how each kid has started to tie things together.”

Preston’s Justin Longhurst readies for a takedown in a match last week. Longhurst won and the rest of the Indian wrestlers did well. The district tournament starts on Feb. 10.
