The Preston’s Elk Lodge and the Franklin County Coalition Against Substance Abuse are sponsoring this event, said Spencer Barzee, West Side School District superintendent.

“Creagh will be at both districts on March 19. He will speak to our students about addictive behaviors, substance abuse and bullying,” said Barzee.

“All West Side presentations will be in the auditorium.”

In other news, Barzee said the district has been informed that its health insurance rates will stay at the same rate for next school year, which is through August 2015.

“This is excellent news. This is the second consecutive year that we have not had an increase,” he said.
