Beginning Wednesday, February 5, 2014, a Master Gardener course will be offered at the Franklin County Extension Office.
Instructors for the class include specialists and educators from the University of Idaho and Utah State University. This course runs for 13 weeks and covers a variety of subjects including: Vegetable Gardening; Weeds & Pesticide Safety; Soils, Fertilizers & Irrigation; Basic Entomology; Fruit Production; House Plants; and Landscape Plants & Design. One entire class will be dedicated to learning pruning techniques.
Classes are from 1:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. every Wednesday from February 5 – April 30. The cost is only $65 per person or $95 per couple, and includes a Master Gardener CD and other informative publications. (Couples receive one set of materials.) Enrollment deadline is Friday, January 24, 2014.
