The first in this year’s five-part “Let’s Talk About It” series will be held Wednesday, Jan. 8, at 7 p.m. at the Larsen-Sant Library. The group will be discussing the Oscar Wilde book, “The Importance of Being Earnest.” The book can be checked out at the library.
It is considered one of Wilde’s most famous plays and satirizes the values that many believed were why Victorian Britain triumphed on the world stage, information from the library said.
Daniel Hunt, an associate professor of English at Idaho State University, will be the presenter. He holds a Master’s degree from ISU and earned a Bachelor’s in Spanish and anthropology from that school in 1980. He teaches all levels of Spanish language, as well as courses in Spanish American Literature, Business Spanish, Literature in Translation and Honors Humanities.
