Several seasonal roads in Franklin County will be closed to vehicular traffic in two days because of snowfall.

Enforcement of road-closed ordinances will begin.

County commission chair Dirk Bowles said if complaints are called in to the sheriff’s department citations will be issued, even though there has been little snow recently.

The road from Birch Creek to Cub River is closed to all wheeled vehicles from Dec. 20 to April 15. The road from the Albert Moser Campground parking lot to Willow Flat and beyond is also posted with closed-to-wheeled traffic signs.

Bowles said several other roads in the county are also posted with signs that indicate seasonal travel only. The county will enforce travel restrictions on these roads as well, said Bowles, as soon as signs are posted.
