The Indians played well last week despite losing to Century 77-69 on the road on Dec. 10.
Down by as many as 21 points in the fourth quarter, Preston was able to take advantage of Century’s foul trouble and close the gap considerably. Last Saturday they turned around and demolished Marsh Valley. An excellent start propelled the Indians to a 76-37 victory at home.
Preston will travel to Bear Lake on Thursday, Dec. 19, where games begin at 4:30 p.m. (FR), 6 p.m. (JV) and 7:30 p.m. (V). They will host Bonneville on Friday. Varsity will start at 7:30 p.m. JV and freshmen play at 6 p.m.
The Indians had no trouble against the smaller Eagles. A 27-5 lead at the end of the first quarter just kept building. At the half it was 46-14, but Marsh Valley came back strong in the third quarter and went on a 14-2 run before Preston shut them down. It took a time out to refocus the Indians, but once they got back on track they didn’t let up.
