PHS girls beat Bear Lake

December 17, 2013

PHS sports writer

The Preston girls lost to Pocatello at home, but beat Bear Lake on the road last week, making it a pretty good week.

They travel to Bonneville on Dec. 17, and host Malad on Dec. 21. Varsity plays at 7:30 p.m.

Preston beat the Bears for the second time this season 41-24 in Bear Lake on Thursday, Dec. 12, breaking a four-game losing streak. Shania Carlisle led the Indians with 15 points. Lilli Swainston added eight.

On Wednesday, Dec. 11, the Indians had a much better start than in the last couple games. The 63-58 loss to Pocatello was hard fought and the game stayed well within reach throughout. It was very balanced play for Preston with three players scoring in double digits.
