There is still a need for individual volunteers for the Elk’s sponsored annual Christmas basket drive, said co-ordinator Jenny Hollingsworth.
“This is the biggest event of the year for us,” she said. “Although our group times are taken, we still need individual volunteers to box up the food and drive the routes on Saturday, Dec. 20.”
The Preston Elk’s Lodge has a district that includes Richmond and Lewiston, Utah, to Weston, Clifton, Dayton, Oxford, Swan Lake, Mink Creek, Soda Springs, Grace and other outlying areas. Last year, said Hollingsworth, they delivered 850 boxes, and she said this year the list has grown even more.
