Festival of Lights Chairman Mary Ann Cox said the event overall went really well. The bed race only had two teams show. That was difficult, but everything else was fabulous, she said.

“The parade and the fireworks were wonderful,” she said. “We had a problem with one of the beds, but it was easily fixed. We hope to attract more people next year.”

She also thought the Lights in the Park really look good and she invited residents to take an evening and visit City Park, 250 N. State Street, to see the displays.
