The North Pole Express is open for business.
It’s a chance every year for youngsters to come to the Larsen-Sant Library and write their letters of Christmas wishes to Santa.
And Jolly Old St. Nick even finds time, thanks to help from his elves, to write back!
Letters must be written by Monday, Dec. 9, to give enough time for a reply, said assistant librarian Teresa Rasmussen.
Santa may have his help at the North Pole, but there is also help locally to make sure the letters get to him in time.
The Kiwanis Club members and Key Club students at Preston High School provide that assistance every year, Rasmussen said.
On Saturday, Dec. 7, the letter-writers will get some encouragement from Santa and Mrs. Claus themselves, said Rasmussen.
They’ll both be at the library from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. that day, the assistant director said.
