After five years, the Scrooge holiday tradition returns to Preston.

We are so excited to present Scrooge as a gift back to our community. In recent years our local theater has lacked the resources to produce this live production.

The comeback of Scrooge is a very timely event because our theater was in a crisis mode with the real possibility of closing our doors staring us in the face.

Without a digital projector it was becoming almost impossible to show the latest movies. Our movie revenue is a large part of our budget for both general operating expenses and especially for live productions.

Val Jensen (l) plays Ebenezer Scrooge in this year’s production of Scrooge at the Worm Creek Opera House. He is flanked by Cori Perry.

But the citizens of Preston and many others have stepped up and saved our theater and blessed our community. Generous donations have poured in over the last year from numerous selfless people with love and giving in their hearts.
