The Franklin County Farm Bureau held it’s annual awards banquet last Thursday night, where Marci Bingham was named Woman of the Year; Cloteele Dahle receIved Citizen of the Year and Taite Priestley was presented a check for $50, for his photography. Taite, the son of David and Amy Lynn, placed first in the state for the Farm Bureau photo contest in his age group. Priestley is 10 years old.
Dahle was honored for her involvement in the community and her efforts on behalf of the Larsen- Sant Library. She was instrumental in bringing to the library three reading programs; boys and girls reading program, the Read to Me program and the Read Across America program. She has donated, on behalf of the library, many books to the community.
Bingham and her husband, Greg, own and operate a dairy farm in Weston. Five years ago, when they purchased the family farm, they decided to go into organic farming.
