Pioneer to hold Vet programs

November 5, 2013

Citizen editor

To celebrate Veteran’s Day, Pioneer Elementary students will be holding a program for veterans of the different services.

In order to allow all students at Pioneer Elementary the opportunity to participate in honoring veterans, the school will be holding two separate Veteran’s Day assemblies – one on Monday, Nov. 11, at 10:35 a.m. and the other on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 2:35 p.m.

The second grades and the Monday/Wednesday kindergartners will be at the Nov. 11 assembly from 10:35-11:05 a.m.

The first grades and the Tuesday/Thursday kindergartners will attend the Nov. 12 assembly from 2:35 to 3:05 p.m.

Army Captain Austin Adamson will take some time to address the students. Veterans will be invited to attend either or both assemblies. At the conclusion of the assemblies students will hold a walk of honor as the veterans go down the school hall with students clapping while lining the sides of the hall.
