In the second play of the game Pirate Lane Meek picked the ball off for an early West Side touchdown. Still in the first quarter, Malad answered with a touchdown and extra point. The first quarter ended with Malad up by one, 7-6.
During the first minute of the second quarter, Coby Roholt scored on fourth and goal. After an impressive half-back pass from Jantz Ebanez to Tristen Cox on another crucial fourth down, Trevor Montes scored again. Malad’s offense stayed strong and managed to score in the last 20 seconds of the first half. The half-time score was 18-14.
The third quarter was filled with huge offensive plays. Roholt was the first to score with a 28-yard run, and the PAT kick was good. Ebanez followed with a reverse and a 70-yard scamper for another TD, making the score 31-14.
