The Indian volleyball team has been playing well despite a loss to Blackfoot. The recent district win over Pocatello completed a season sweep against the Northern Indians.
The Indians were host to Pocatello on Thursday, Oct. 3.
“We won 3-1 sets (25-13, 25-18, 23-25, 25- 21),” said coach Bridgett Knapp. “Our serving was the difference in this game. We had Brielle Knapp serve six aces in the match, with five other players also serving aces in the match. Shania Carlisle led us in kills with 10 for the night.
“She has continued to improve all season. It is great to see. Alexa Van Vleet helped us out with some crucial blocks. It was a fun night, but not perfect.
We still have to continue to get better to be able to compete with the strong teams we have in our district. But we are making great strides.”
On Tuesday, Oct. 1, was a different story.
“It was a rough loss to Blackfoot,” said Knapp. “We lost 0-3 sets (15-25, 22-25, 24-26). We struggled the whole game. We did have some great serve/receive passing by Whitney Parker and Lilly Swainston.”
