Korey Owens, Idaho Fish and Game resident officer for the Franklin County area, is seeking information related to the killing of two young buck deer in August. One was poached the first week of August in the Oxford Loop area. The other was killed the last week of August on Cleveland Road in the Thatcher area.

“It was confirmed both deer were shot with a firearm,” Owens said. “We are looking for information about this incident. Citizen’s Against Poaching is offering a reward of $250 for information resulting in an arrest.”

Citizens Against Poaching information is on Idaho hunting and Fishing licenses or tags.

If anyone has information about these deer poaching incidents should contact the Idaho Fish and Game or Franklin County Sheriff’s Office at the number listed below.

Owens also wanted to encourage people to be on the lookout this fall, while hunting, for poachers and others doing illegal activity.

If anyone should see something that warrants the attention of the Idaho Fish and Game, call Owens at 208-251-1923 or the Franklin County Sheriff Dept. at 208-852-1234.
