The Preston Lady Indians had a tough week in soccer playing Highland and Century.
Century continues to be one of the top teams in 4A, and 5A Highland has yet to lose a game. Playing tough competition is the best way to improve. Tuesday, Oct. 1, the Indians traveled to Bonneville (score not available at press time).
The Indians will be away this week. Thursday, Oct. 4, will be at Pocatello at 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 5, at Madison at 11 a.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 8, at 4 p.m. in Rigby.
On Saturday, Sept. 28, Preston traveled to Century to make up a game that was cancelled due to the weather. Century won 3-0, scoring once in the first half and twice in the second.
“We really lacked a lot of the intensity and fire that we had on Thursday against Highland,” said coach Brandon Lyon. “We struggled to really sustain any sort of possession and create any good chances. You have these games sometimes and we just have to respond as we have some big district games this week.”
