PGCC hosts 3 tourneys

The Preston Golf and Country Club hosted three recent tournaments at the local course.

A third-annual Bye Bye Birdie Mixed Scramble sponsored by Stokes MarketPlace was held on Saturday, Sept. 14. The club hosted a Rocky Mountain Section PGA Pro-Men’s presented by Stokes on Sept. 9, and on Sept. 7, a Member/Guest Tournament was held.

In the Bye Bye Birdie Champ flight low gross was Dave and Pam Seamons with a 68. Second place was Mike Cunningham and Kristal Call with a 70.

VanVleet said in the Rocky Mountain Professional Division John Graham from Sandcreek Golf Course finished with a 67 to take first place. Second place went to Bobby Howell of Pocatello with a 68. Cameron Garn of Rexburg finished third with a 71. Chris Eastman won the Senior Professional Division with a 72.

VanVleet said in the Member Guest Tournament winners of the Champ Flight were Loyd Field and Brandon Harris with a 64. Low net was Richard Winterbottom and Kerby Petersen with a 60.5.

LOOKING FOR A BARGAIN

In the first flight low gross was Lance and Channing Hemsley with a 64. Low net went to Mike Frandsen and Jerry Losee with a 60.9.

Bart Simmons and Laurel Simmons won the putting contest with a 27. In the Derby, first place went to Hemsley and Dave Kress.
