West Side’s football team traveled to American Falls on Friday and chewed up the Beavers 44-16. Next week the Pirates have a bye.
In the first series of the game, the Beavers intercepted the ball on the Pirates’ 10-yard line. American Fall’s quarterback Joey Morris led his team to score a TD in the following series. The Beavers went up 8-0 in the first few minutes.
The following kick was received by Jantz Ebanez, who ran the ball 98 yards for a score. The quarter ended with the Pirates up 14-8.
After a Wyatt Bowles interception, Montes had a 50-yard run for a touchdown. The score at halftime was 21-8.
Late in the third quarter Ebanez recovered the ball after it was snapped over Morris’ head and he ran it for a touchdown. Brandon Moyle came in to kick the extra point, ending the quarter 34-8.
In the third series of the final quarter, Ebanez scored again and Moyle had another good kick. The Beavers’ fumbled once more and it was recovered by West Side’s Jarren Miller.
After struggling with penalties, the Pirates kicked a field goal making the score 44-8.
