After 33 years, Dahle ends a chapter in her life

After 33 years, Larsen-Sant Library Director Cloteele Dahle is closing what has been a big chapter of her life the end of this month. An open house will be held in her honor this Friday, Sept. 20, from 4-6 p.m. in the library community room.

The Benson, Utah, native began working at the old Preston Carnegie Library in June of 1980, receiving training from then retiring library director Ada Hansen.

Dahle had grown up with a love of books. She recalled, “My mother used to read stories to us every evening. Some of my favorites were the Nancy Drew mysteries, Aesop’s Fables and all the well-known fairy tales.”

Teresa Rasmussen, who will be the new assistant library director, recounted many of the changes and milestones that have been achieved during Dahle’s tenure, some with huge support from the Friends of the Library and other community members:
