The Preston Piecers, a local quilting club, is inviting the public to enter their annual quilt show Oct. 17-18, at the Larsen-Sant Library. Entry forms are available at the library as well as the store of the show’s sponsor, Suppose Quilt Boutique.

Elizabeth Gage runs a thread through a sunbonnet quilt she is currently working on. Gage says she quilts for the enjoyment of doing so.

Cash prizes will be presented to winners, who are determined from votes cast by show visitors. Last year’s winner was Elizabeth Gage of Preston.

The club, which was organized nine years ago, provides a format for individuals to learn “as many new quilting techniques as we can,” said member Lynn Moser. At present there are 27 members. Sharon Maran, of Mink Creek, is the president and Selena Bartholomew, of Weston, is president-elect.
